Please bring your own chair for the event! \nTickets available here. \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout This Event:\nThe Pizza Collection is a musical comedy act from Philadelphia who tour the country throwing pizza parties and performing their signature pizza songs. Their live show takes the audience on a trip through the space-pizza-time-continuum\, celebrating pizza through music\, comedy\, dance\, art\, and more. The Pizza Collection has performed across North America\, from Philadelphia’s own World Cafe\, to Minneapolis’ Pizza Camp\, to Pizza Poetry Month in New Orleans\, to their recent headlining appearance at Cinnaminfest. In 2018 The Pizza Collection broke the world record for the most pizza songs ever performed.

DESCRIPTION:Come join Diana Cormack\, a PA Master Naturalist trainee\, and walk in the Great Marsh to identify non-native introduced species\, not necessarily just plants\, and discuss their impact on this unique habitat.  We’ll also look for fall blooming natives like goldenrod. \nPlease RSVP to lori@greatmarshinstitute.org. SUMMARY:October Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:October at GMI is all about Waterfowl\, Sparrows and Blackbirds; Rusty Blackbirds that is. The Great Marsh hosts wintering populations of this rapidly declining species and October is when they typically move in. Flocks of several dozen are not uncommon here this time of year. Waterfowl are also on the move. In the past we have had: Cackling Goose\, Blue and Green-winged Teal\, Northern Shoveler\, Northern Pintail\, Bufflehead\, American Black Duck\, and Pied-billed Grebe. Sparrows will be moving in as well including chances of seeing: Fox\, White-crowned\, Vesper\, Savannah\, and Lincoln’s. Other species of note seen in October include: Golden Eagle\, Northern Harrier\, Blue-headed Vireo\, Common Raven\, Red-breasted Nuthatch\, Winter and Marsh Wren\, Purple Finch\, Pine Siskin\, and Eastern Meadowlark. In all\, 101 species have been recording in October.

DESCRIPTION:Calling all photographers\, painters\, and artists! This Sunday\, October 31st the Great Marsh will be open to all interested artists. Take a self-guided tour to paint\, take photos\, and enjoy the property. \nIf you are interested in attending\, please RSVP to lori@greatmarshinstitute.org with your name and the time you plan to arrive. Check-in will be at the Farm House. \nThis event is free of charge but we humbly ask for a suggested donation of $20. Donate through our Paypal or make a cash donation at the door.
